Transforms the harvest into shared meals, practical skills, and pathways into hospitality and food enterprise. It is a space of learning, manaakitanga and confidence building.
"The heart of 33 Wise Street."
Watch our rangatahi turn local coffee and hot toasties into a pathway for the future.
"Taste the growth."
Support our circular system with a morning treat that gives back to the whenua and the people.
"Watch this space grow'
From coffee and toasties today to community feasts tomorrow. We can’t wait to show you what’s coming next!
"From Harvest to Hospitality" Te Kihini is where we transform the harvest from our Maara into shared meals and practical skills.
Where we are: Currently a bustling hub where our rangatahi run a coffee and toastie shop, learning the ropes of food service and community connection.
Where we are going: Phase 2 workshops that will host cooking workshops, shared community hākari (feasts), and food enterprise pathways.
Every coffee you buy supports the growth of this space and the development of our young leaders.
Our kitchen, Te Kihini, is fully kitted out and ready for action! We’ve built the space, and now we’re looking to fill it with the smells of home-cooked kai and the sound of learning.
We are currently developing our workshop series and looking for local food heroes, aunties, uncles, and chefs who want to share their secrets with the whānau.
"Are you a local cook with a passion for teaching? We have the kitchen, you have the skills—let’s talk!"
